FAQ

How long before I get my piece?

About 4 – 6 weeks after you order and upload your photos however this can depend on my workload and size of piece. Please keep this in mind if you need your scene by a certain date.

Can you make it faster?

I can prioritize your piece, but a rush charge will apply if you require work to be shipped or delivered in less than 4 weeks. If you need the piece complete by a certain date please let me know as soon as possible and we can discuss what options are available.

Can you add multiple subjects to the piece?

I can definitely put multiple subjects in the portrait! If you can find a photo with all the subjects together to use as a primary reference, there is no extra charge. But if they’re all in different photos and need to be arranged into one piece then I charge a composition fee. Adjusting the lighting to make different photos look natural together can be a real challenge, so one photo is better if possible.

How do you create your landscapes?

I create my landscapes either on mixed media paper using mainly color pencil. Or I paint with acrylic. However I love experimenting with different mediums so I often use watercolor, pastels and gauche along with the color pencils. If you wish for a oil painted portrait please request a quote.

Do you take photos?

I do! Photographs are free of charge but if travel is required there will be a charge based on mileage.

Can I see the drawing before it is shipped?

Yes all of my portraits are photographed and emailed to my clients for final approval. I also additionally email the stages of the scene development so you can be a part of the process as well.

Do you frame?

Yes! Please request a quote for framing as it depends based on size.

How many images should I send?

As many as you can! see my Image Guidelines to send the right photographs

What does "artist retains the image rights" mean?

Although you have purchased the painting and it is from your photograph, the scene has been created by myself and I am able to use it as I see fit (examples on my website, prints of originals, using as an example of work) but I will respect anyone’s wishes if they do not wish their piece to be shown online. Read my terms and conditions and then email me if you have any issues.
